How to play Air Hockey
Try Air Hockey at your own pace and keep its objective in view. Score seven goals before the computer. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Identify the playing area and the controls you need. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.
Move your paddle against a computer opponent and score through the opposite goal.
A useful comparison
Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board. Make the next step deliberately.
Your goal
Score seven goals before the computer. Read that aim before choosing your first action. Return to the instructions when a step is unclear.
Step by step
- Start.
- Move your mallet within the lower half.
- Strike toward the upper goal.
- Goals reset the puck.
Controls
Mouse/touch movement or Left/Right controls. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. Return to the rules if the result is unexpected.
A useful example
An angled hit can bank off a side wall. Use the example as a guide rather than a substitute for reading your board. Keep the controls nearby.
Watch out for this
You cannot move into the computer’s half. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Watch the feedback after an action. A message can explain whether the input was accepted or whether a rule needs attention.
